With 20 years of experience, I've had the privilate of wearing many hats as a creative professional. I would like to highlight my skills and experience in directing, and project management.

Directing

I enjoy leading teams, running sets, and directing talent.

Creative Direction

I have been fortunate to have organized shoots in and out of the studio, directing talent both in person and remotely, conducting video interviews, and contributing to the ideas, styles, and visions of many projects throughout my career. Familiar tools for remote direction & recording include Microsoft Teams, OpenReel, and Riverside.

Joint Leadership

I prefer a joint leadership style, which is a collaborative approach where I can create alongside team members, coaching when needed, and knowing when to rely on their expertise. This allows me to organize shoots and steer the team towards a vision, while setting an example in terms of creativity and work ethic.

Training & Coaching

I've been teaching and training in various capacities since my career began, from Assistant Manager at a local knife shop to creating new hire training for Media Designers at Convergence. I have managed contractors from voice-over artists to illustrators and am the head instructor at Valley View Taekwon-Do. Half my career in video and animation has been in instructional training for a variety of industries.

Project Management

Highlighting expertise in reporting, standards, analytics, and communication to improve team efficiency.

Reporting

Whether using Microsoft Excel, Project, or another tracking & management tool, transparency into the production pipeline should be easy to access and provide information necessary for leadership to make decisions.

Communication & Live Collaboration

Good communication helps remove roadblocks, set expectations, and enables smooth execution of scheduled project milestones. Familiar tools for live collaboration include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Airtable, Asana, Slack, and SharePoint.

Data-driven decision-making means that my work isn't just pretty, it's purposeful. I continue to provide support for content after delivery, establishing KPIs and measuring performance. I am familiar with YouTube & Brightcove analytics, and am skilled in translating data to reports in Excel.

With extensive experience in establishing standards for techniques, creating style mockups, templates, working within brand guidelines, and creating process documentation for creative teams, I am always ready to align work to a vision.

Ethron is a very talented designer, who served as a great mentor when starting my career at Capstone Tech. Intelligible, patient, and instructive he made my transition into the professional world a smooth one. Highly creative and clever, Ethron's methods for creating clear and entertaining training material are often looked to as a prime example and for inspiration. Never a dull moment with Ethron, I have highly enjoyed being part of the same design team and working closely with on collaborative projects. I had the great pleasure to work with Ethron while at Degica where his main responsibility was creating promotional videos and trailers for the games Degica published and he always delivered.
